ABOUT
Blaine Vess

Immeasurable was founded by Blaine Vess, an entrepreneur and investor with more than twenty-five years of experience building and scaling companies. As a college freshman in 1999, he co-founded Student Brands and bootstrapped the company for eighteen years without outside capital. The business generated over $100 million in profitable revenue and was acquired by Barnes & Noble Education in 2017 for $58.5 million.

He later co-founded Solve, a travel services company that participated in Y Combinator’s Summer 2017 batch and was acquired by Blacklane. Blaine is a Kauffman Fellow and has invested in and advised early-stage companies across the United States and Asia for more than a decade.

He founded Immeasurable to partner with founders building durable, globally relevant businesses. He is currently focused on companies applying artificial intelligence to practical, real-world problems and remains actively involved in company building to stay close to technological change.

Beyond investing, Blaine has supported independent films addressing human rights and geopolitical issues, including several focused on North Korea. He has been involved with Liberty in North Korea for more than fourteen years, supporting efforts that advance freedom and resettlement for North Korean refugees.
